CYLLADDA Annual Report July 2007-April 2008

Our group has once again had a very busy year. 2007-2008 has been by far the most challenging with the loss of our coach in 07, numerous injuries and several disappointments in the form of large performances that didn’t happen – Military Tattoo, Opera House, Genting Malaysia.

However, we have picked ourselves up, and our regular events such as Moon Festival and CNY have run smoothly, with many extra and exciting new performances along the way. TV Station TVBJ also filmed our group for a special Chinese New Year Forum Program which showcased our group and its members during the CNY period.

We have formed new relationships with other Lion groups interstate and overseas, with the opportunity to share knowledge and hold exchange programs in the future. We are preparing very hard for the upcoming World Championships, with the core team training hard 4 nights a week since 6 months prior to the competition.

Key notes:

Management – With the loss of our previous Coach Jason Ng in June 2007, the group has had to overcome substantial changes in the way it manages itself. Committee members are consisted of mainly senior students and other key individuals who have been with the group for some time now.
